Edward Tyson (1800-1870)

Edward Tyson born in Eskdale Cumbria in 1800, is probably the father of both Thomas Tyson, and Tom Tyson, he is described as a Blacksmith, it’s not uncommon for them to have a side line in early clocks. whilst no proof has been found to link them it does seem reasonable with the family links and work associations.

Edward was at his son Thomas’ marriage at the Parish Church on 1st Feb 1875 with other son Tom Tyson as a Witness.

No known examples of his work survive.
