Anthony Herman (1841)

Anthony Herman (or Hermann) was listed as a Clockmaker living at Great Moor Street, along with other clockmakers.

Herman and Rock, clockmakers were embezzled out of eleven clocks, taken from his employers, by James Stafford, who was tried at Salford Assizes in 1841. Stafford was a traveller for the company and paid a commission on sales. He received his wages, but also disposed of the clocks.

Listed living with Andrew Roak, it is likely that they had emigrated together and they worked for Samuel Monk.
