Thomas Hilton was a Watchmaker, and later a Watch repairer and Jeweller based at 15 Blackburn Street, Radcliffe Bridge.
He was listed as a watch maker in 1892 at the birth of his son Edwin and in the 1911 Census.
His two sons Arthur and Edwin were also in his employment as Watch Makers and later Watch Repairers.
In 1925 he visited New York and is included in the passenger listing, and by 1939 was retired to Thornton Cleavleys where he lived with his wife Selina at 240 Victoria Road.
