Born on 29th Jan 1899, Arthur Hilton was the son of Watchmaker Thomas Hilton, and he worked with his older brother Edwin as a Watchmaker.
By 1930 Arthur had become an Optician and had been granted the freedom of the City of London by the Company of Spectacle makers.
In 1939 he was listed at 15 Blackburn Street as an Optician.
