Richard Henry Breeze was born in Oswestry in 1855, the son of a clock cleaner, he became a clock maker in his own right, and moved to Bolton, where he lived at 101 Blackburn Road, Little Bolton.

He married his wife Catherine in Bolton, but after his fathers death, he returned to Oswestry alone in 1901.
He died in Oswestry in 1927.
