Richard Halliwell watchmaker of Little Bolton, was the son of a peddler, and lived with his father in 1881 at 68 Hibbert Street, Little Bolton.
By 1891 he was at 158 Blackburn Road, where he continued as a watchmaker until after 1901, and by 1911 he was simply trading as a Jeweller, still living with his mum Esther.
