Born in Wigan in 1857, John Wesley Walter Crinnell (occasionally miss catalogued as Grinnell) was a watchmaker who lived in Moss Street, Little Bolton. As a Child, the family moved to the Isle of Man, before John returned to Horwich, where he married in 1881 then to Little lever and Bolton where he died in 1913.
