A miniature Mahogany Longcase Clock with six inch dial. The dial signed ‘Johanes Walley de Bolton fecit’. Probably 19th century. The case with tall pierced swan neck pediment flanked by turned wooden finials over a reverse painted glass panel and freestanding reeded columns, the trunk with blind fret cornice and three quarter reeded columns on a base with canted front corners and applied panel, on ogee bracket feet, the six inch square brass dial with winged cherubs head spandrels, Roman and arabic silvered chapter ring enclosing a signed centre with foliate engraving, the weight driven movement with elaborate ring turned pillars, anchor escapement and rack strike with trip repeat lever on a bell
