James Peacock (1883-1938)

A James Peacock lived his married live starting in Vernon Street and at 168 Clarence Street when he died in 1938.

He spent most of his life in the cotton trade, but in 1883 he, was described as a Watchmaker.

In 1885 James Peacock of the Church Institute was awarded a Second Class Order of Merit for Machine Calculations, by the Union of Lancashire and Cheshire Institutes.

There are no known examples of his work.
