Joseph Edward Arkinstall (1901-1917)

Joseph Edward Arkinstall, was a watchmaker, the son of Joseph Arkinstall was born on 19th January 1890

He followed on the family business at 3 Blackburn Road, before moving to Birmingham and serving the the Army Service Corps during WW1.

Joseph Edward Arkinstall moved to Birminham, his fathers Birthplace, and it seems likely that he emigrated to Australia in 1923 where he established as a Jeweller in Hindmarsh.

His shop was robbed on 19th June 1929 of a significant amount of Jewellery.

Joseph later fought in WW2 and died in 1946 in South Austalia.
