Edward T. Foulkes (1885-1891)

Edward Foulkes was employed as a Watchmaker, he was born in Liverpool in 1821.

His parents were Moses and Margaret Foulkes (nee Roberts) were living at Queens Place, Clayton Street, Liverpool in the 1841 Census.

Living with them was Edward’s brother, John Foulkes, aged 17, he was also a watchmaker.

In 1873, Edward was living at 4 Frances Street, Strageways.

Frances Street, home of Strangeways Refuge.

In 1881 he was living in Rusholme, at 16 Oldenboy Street.

In 1891 he was living at Punch Street, Great Bolton, aged 70, with his wife Mary Anne.

He is often cited as Edward T or Edward L Foulkes but it seems more likely that it’s T, details of the census confirm the matching details.
