David English was a Watchmaker from Ashburner Street in Bolton, he famously made the presentation watch No 1892 for the Reverend George Smith of the Primitive Methodists, who purchased a Baptist chapel for them on Moor Lane.
A Chelsea Pensioner David was married to Harriet from Elham in Kent.
He was survived by his wife Harriett who continued the Jewellery business in her own name while living at 29 Ashburner Street.
