Christopher it’s mentioned in records as being a watchmaker, living in Foundry Street, in Little Bolton, but this seems to be an error in transcribing the records, he is listed as a Watchman at Iron Works around this time.
It is always possible that he also worked on watches at home, or was a Watch Jobber, but there doesn’t seem any evidence of this.
