Algernon ‘Sidney’ Child, was a Master Watchmaker based in Bark Street, in Little Bolton. He was Born in Rugby Warwickshire where he apprenticed to his father John Child.
He traded from 72 Bank Street where the Post Office Directory of 1876 described him as a Watchmaker.
By 1868 he and his family seemed to have moved via Macclesfield to Bolton.
He died in Flax Place Little Bolton on 30th August 1886, which is just off Bark Street.
There are no known examples of his work.
