Samuel Pilkington was the brother (or nephew) of Thomas Pilkington, they worked together along with Thomas’ son Joseph the premises at Bury Road Tonge, and at 101 Higher Bridge Street in Bolton. Samuel lived with his Wife Betty and family at Tomlin Fold in Tong.
