Levi Spencer Parks (occasionally recorded as Purks or Parkes), was born in Ainsworth in 1855, he was brought up in the textile trade and by 1891 had moved to 113 Lorne Street in Moses Gate. He was listed in Kellys Directory for 1895 as a Watch and Clock maker. By 1901 he had moved to 29 Fylde Street Great Lever, and was once again in the textile industry. He died in 1912.
