John Robinson of Hillingdon Middlesex was born in 1856. He and his wife Louisa moved to Farnworth, where he was listed variously as a Watch maker, a Watch and Clock repairer or Watch and Clock Cleaner at 52 Cross Street Farnworth in 1898.
By 1911 he was at 30 Cross Street, and again he was listed as a Watchmaker at the marriage of his son in 1920, who lived at 17 Queens Street.
In 1927 he was listed at the marriage of his son William of Dixon Green as a Watchmaker.
By 1931 Louisa Robinson then lived at 17 Queen Street in Farnworth and was mentioned in the emigration papers of her Granddaughter Lois as she went to Woods Hole in the USA..
