James Dixon born in 1769, was a Clockmaker in Little Bolton in 1798. He married Nancy Hamer also from Little Bolton on 16th December 1798. They had two daughters, Hannah in 1801) and Mary in 1803 suggesting the family were still in residence in Little Bolton at least until the death of Nancy.
