George Whitfield a Watchmaker born in Warrington and living at Ainsworth Street Little Bolton, married Amelia Eastwood on 2nd July 1879 at St. Peter’s Church Bolton.
He was first listed in 1871 in Pleasant Street as a Watch Maker /Finisher, and later at mere hall Street as a Watch Repairer and a Watchmaker Jobber Living at Mona Street Little Bolton in 1901.
By 1911 sadly George was a resident at the Bolton Union Workhouse at Fishpool, Farnworth, he died in September 1914.
