William Hodson of Bolton is listed as a Watch and Clock Maker from Bolton in 1774, where he surrendered his fathers Copyhold house back to the Manor of Prescott. Later in 1790 he subscribed to J Johnsons publication of the book, ‘The Revolution’ poetry by James Ogden in twelve books.
William Hodson of Great Bolton was born in 1751 and died in 1816.
He was the son of joiner Thomas Hodson of Prescot.
