Edwin Rowbotham was born in Birmingham in 1844. he became a Jeweller and Watchmaker. By 1891 he was living in Staffordshire with his wife and family, and by 1901 they had moved to Bolton, living at 131 Nelson Street, Great Lever.
The family were also listed at 144a St Georges Road, which may have been a shop.
By 1910 the family home was 485 Chorley Old Road, where Edwin sadly died. His son Edwin Rowbotham was also a watchmaker.
He died in 1910 and probate was granted to his son Charles Rowbotham also by then listed as a watchmaker in Bolton.
Charles and his siblings emigrated to Australia.
